Nutrilon Royal contains not only AA/DHA to support baby's brain development, but also patented mixture of FOS/GOS prebiotics. It has been developed through continuous research and observational study with a view to naturally mimic prebiotics in breast milk.

The formula with patented mixture of FOS/GOS prebioticsis is clinically proven of performing similar benefits to breast milk on the infant intestine by positively promoting the growth of healthy bacteria and contributing to the suppression of pathogens that cause diseases. Adaptation period

FOS/GOS has another benefit for the digestion system. It acts as a fibre that can make faeces consistency relatively softer.
For some babies, frequency of defecation can increase (3-4 times a day) during the first days of consumption. When a baby digestive system becomes accustomed to FOS/GOS, the defecation frequency will return to normal. This increase frequency of defecation is not diarrhea. A Baby in a diarrhea condition will show some symptoms such as: watery faeces, fever, increased body temperature, in some cases it might include vomiting or fussiness.
