Introduction
On 5 December 2008 PT Nutricia Indonesia launched the new Supporting Lives program, together with the Indonesian SOS Children Villages organization.
Supporting Lives is Nutricia's corporate initiative to globally support SOS Children Villages, providing orphans the experience of growing up in a loving family environment. The kick off event was opened by Marc de Rouw, President Director of Nutricia Indonesia, and brought together the Nutricia family and 160 children in games and activities at Desa Taruna in Lembang, West Java. The support started with re-designing and re-constructing playground facilities for children at the SOS village and the renovation of several buildings and a new sports ground. Nutricia employees participated voluntarily in the weeks before the event in the make-over.
